Sponsor Spotlight: Rooted in Community with Farmer Jane

Welcome to the brand new SYPE Regina blog! We are always looking for new ways to highlight the incredible people, stories, and businesses that make Saskatchewan’s professional landscape so vibrant.

To kick things off, we could not think of a better feature than the presenting sponsor for our upcoming April First Friday event: Farmer Jane Cannabis Co. If you live in Regina, Saskatoon, or Winnipeg, you have probably seen their vibrant storefronts. But Farmer Jane is much more than just a retail space. Born right here in the heart of the Prairies in 2020, their head office is actually located at PATH Cowork in Regina. They set out with a simple goal: to strip away the stigma of cannabis and replace it with small-town hospitality, expert knowledge, and a retail experience that feels like coming home.

Their motto is “Rooted in Community. Growing with Heart.” Here is why SYPE is so thrilled to partner with them.

Betting on Their Teams

As young professionals and entrepreneurs, we know that a great customer experience is impossible without an incredible employee experience. Farmer Jane shares this exact philosophy. They are deeply committed to “investing in and betting on their teams.” By fostering a culture of diversity, inclusivity, and professional growth, they empower their staff to show up as their best selves every day. When their employees thrive, their business thrives.

🏆 2026 Regina Business of the Year

You do not have to just take our word for how incredible Farmer Jane is. Just last week, they took home the Business of the Year Award at the 27th annual Regina & District Chamber of Commerce Paragon Awards!

A Massive Commitment to the Prairies

Farmer Jane believes that a business only succeeds when its community does. Their dedication to the prosperity of the Prairies is truly next level. Here is a quick look at the impact they have made over the last few years:

  • 🥫 Fighting Hunger: Since 2020, Farmer Jane has donated over 370,000 meals to local food banks across Saskatchewan and Manitoba, including the Regina Food Bank. In 2025 alone, their Joint Effort matched-meals program helped donate an incredible 234,000 meals.

  • 🌲 Environmental Stewardship: Through their partnership with veritree, they have planted over 26,000 trees to help restore natural ecosystems. They also proudly stepped up during the devastating 2025 summer wildfires, raising $3,000 for Red Cross emergency relief right here in our own provinces.

  • 🌈 Pride and Inclusivity: Standing loudly and proudly with their LGBTQIA2S+ neighbours, Farmer Jane has donated $50,000 since 2022 to vital organizations like Lulu’s Lodge in Regina and OUTSaskatoon.

  • 🤝 Truth and Reconciliation: Operating on Treaty 1, Treaty 4, and Treaty 6 lands, they are committed to the multi-generational journey of reconciliation. They have raised over $10,000 for Indigenous organizations, including the Regina Newoyotina Friendship Centre.

  • 🐶 Supporting Animals: They even have a soft spot for our furry friends! Through initiatives like their #farmdogfriday calendar, they have raised over $10,000 for local humane societies and animal rescues.

Investing in Saskatchewan’s Future

Farmer Jane prioritizes partnerships with local producers because they believe in the power of the prairie economy. Every store they open is an investment in a local neighbourhood. Now, they are investing directly in the next generation of Saskatchewan’s business leaders by partnering with SYPE.

We are incredibly excited to have them on board.
